Guar based agro-industrial project

Guar gum is derived from an annual legume (cyamopsis tetragonaloba).
This plant is a heat loving, drought tolerant plant from which the guar gum is derived, along with a protein rich by-product. The industrial applications of guar are many, ranging from oil and water well drilling, platinum processing to food thickening.
India and Pakistan are the major producers of guar, but from 1994 my company initiated cultivation of guar in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi. We also conducted trials in Egypt.
In 1998 we established a guar processing factory in South Africa and developed a modified guar powder for use in the floatation process in the platinum mining industry.
In 2003 the technology was purchased from my company.
I believe that there are distinct possibilities for the processing of guar in Europe, as well as the cultivation of the guar plant in arid areas of low rainfall and high temperatures such as North and West African countries.
I would welcome contact with interested parties to participate in investigating the potential of a guar based agro-industrial project.
