Highland Pot Ale Extract - An Extract from a By Product of the Scottish Whisky Industry


The extract is derived from a product of the distillation process and come from Speyside, the heartland of the whisky industry. The distillation process only involves malt from the barley, water and yeast. In appearance it is a chocolatey brown, viscous liquid with a slightly grain like aroma. Typically, it is high in amino acids, it also contains a range of non starch polysaccharides and soluble sugars. It has potential as an ingredient for beverages and in cosmetics. Highland Pot Ale Extract is developed and marketed by H N Products, which specialises in the development and marketing of ingredients from plant species of the Highlands of Scotland. The company is newly created and sources its raw materials from within Scotland. These are processed at its headquarters in Beauly and marketed from there. The company is currently
developing a range of other unique ingredients.
